Fashionble Backpacks for beauty - buy from www.fashionstyle2.com
Backpacks are often preferred to handbags for carrying heavy loads, because of the limited capacity to carry heavy weights for long periods of time in the hands. Large backpacks, used to carry loads over 10 kg (22 lbs), usually offload the largest part (up to about 90%) of their weight onto padded hip belts, leaving the shoulder straps mainly for stabilising the load. This improves the potential to carry heavy loads, as the hips are stronger than the shoulders, and also increases agility and balance, since the load rides nearer the person's own center of mass.

How to become Model - Tips for new Model
1. Look at yourself realistically. Modeling is not for everyone. Models are usually between 5'9 and 6'0, weighs between 120-130 lbs. In general, the agencies that girls be under 18 years old when starts, which models career is usually short. You should have neatly divided eyes, a straight nose (although this is not always the case!) Beautiful skin and a nice smile. Skin tones and facial shapes are varied these days, which means that many girls who may not have worked before, to be very successful! If you have these qualities, you can see a reputable agency for an opinion.
2. DO NOT invest any money in such things such as schooling or pictures. Modeling school is not always bad, but it is not necessary to become a model. A good agent will be able to see your potential right away, without images. If your agent thinks you have potential, they will set you up with a "test" the photographer who is very cheap. (You usually only pay for film and development.) This will allow the agency to see how you photograph.
3. On the topic of "shoot well," some girls look absolutely fabulous in person, and the agency has big hopes, but then she simply is not "better" in print. Other girls who look almost normal in person, you look absolutely amazing in pictures.
4. Keep a positive attitude! Remember, modeling is a competitive business, so you are bound to face rejection. Just remember, if an agent does not take, another can! :) A winning attitude is very important in a business that is about how you project yourself.
5. If you do not meet height and weight requirements, do not worry. Ask your local agencies about "commercial" modeling, an area that encourages all shapes and sizes!

Moonshine, a fish parade, and a happy new year
..
This photo, from the Jan 7, 1932 Huntington Beach News was captioned, "Photograph taken at police station... showing bootlegging equipment confiscated at the warehouse at 708 Huntington avenue, [between Geneva Ave. and Hartford Ave.] alleged to belong the Steve Stimatz whose trial for possession will be heard Friday. In the picture from left to right are: Officers Robidoux and Shafer; Councilman E. B. Stevens and Chief of Police L. F. Keller..."
.
These days, the City approves almost anyone downtown who requests a liquor license.
E. B. Stevens, by the way, is best remembered as the father of the short-lived Huntington Beach Fish Parade. In 1926, the entire fishing-themed parade, from bathing beauties to dignitaries to jazz bands, wound its way from Huntington Beach along a route more than 85 miles in length, taking in communities as distant as Olive, La Habra and Norwalk. The event was not repeated in 1927.
.
Anyway, have a happy new year and enjoy the (merely) 5 1/2-mile long Rose Parade. But take it easy with the bathtub gin.

Preparing For Your Wedding Day - From Wedding Shoes to the Bridal Emergency Kit
First, the bride should not forget about her wedding shoes. Although countless hours are spent on choosing the dress, oftentimes, the bride waits until the last minute to choose her wedding shoes. This last minute rush does not allow the bride to properly choose the right bridal shoes.
If the bride is looking for ivory wedding shoes, she shouldn't forget that there are many shades of ivory and choosing any pair of shoes will sometimes not match her dress. However, the most important thing the bride needs to make sure of is that her shoes are comfortable. She is on her feet all day and the shoes are the only support she has. If the shoes start to hurt, the bride will feel very uncomfortable all day. Therefore, the bride needs to make sure she has something comfortable to wear all day. Whether it is a beautiful pair to wear down the aisle and then a pair of more casual flip flops, the bride should make sure that her wedding shoes are selected beforehand.
Second, the bride should prepare a bridal emergency kit case. That case should contain all of the little things she might need on the big day. These include the following: extra lipstick so she can reapply throughout the night, a compact to retouch, pins in case her hair starts to fall, water in case she becomes too dehydrated, a needle and thread for any last minute touch ups on the dress, and a little mirror for any last minute touch ups. The emergency kit can oftentimes be prepared by her bridesmaids, but in case they don't prepare anything, the bride should put all of these things together in preparation for the big day.
Finally, the other major thing the bride should prepare is the wedding day schedule and contact details for the vendors and the bridal party. The minute by minute schedule for that big day is imperative to making sure that everything happens on time. The contact details are so important in case someone is searching for a vendor. The bride should assign a person for each vendor and assign someone to make sure that the schedule is running smoothly.
After making the entire schedule, one important thing is for the bride to review that schedule with the main people responsible for the event and the main people helping the bride ensure that the day runs smoothly - the bridesmaids, the wedding coordinators, and the vendors. One tip for the bride is to print out multiple copies of the schedule and tape them everywhere - in the car, in the bathroom, in people's rooms so that everyone can glance at it throughout the day and help the bride with the timing and the coordination.
The wedding day can be a very stressful day or a wonderful day, as long as the bride is prepared. Making sure she has the above items will definitely help ensure a wonderful and smooth day. Source
Alternative Weddings and Wedding Shoes
Just because the majority go with the white dress does not mean you have to. Themed weddings are common these days and those themes can vary wildly - you only have to look at shows on TV like Four Weddings and Don't Tell The Bride to know that!
You might, for example, want a very traditional but very VINTAGE wedding. A long, off-white gown with an even longer train, very old wedding car or even a horse and carriage. What shoes would you choose then?
Fortunately, there is a wide range available on the market, all created by big name designers like Rachel Simpson and Filippa Scott.
These vintage bridal shoes are not typically white, they tend to be ivory, teal, silver or mink though, of course, if white is what you want, white you can get.
They vary in design depending on the era too, with styles from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, Victorian, Edwardian and even Old Hollywood. These are all available in high and medium heel and flat shoes, depending on the designer and era.
For that extra special touch, you can attach shoe clips that look like they are made from pearls and diamonds. They will add a sparkle and catch the eye.
Less traditional brides will not want a heeled, white or ivory coloured, material shoe however. Some brides go for red shoes, black shoes or pink shoes. Non-traditional wedding shoes have included trainers or sneakers, boots (like Doc Martens) and even, in very rare cases, slippers!
Getting married abroad in an exotic location? Chances are you'll be walking across the beach at some point...so go for a flat sandal or flip flop! You do NOT want to be trying to cross the sand in a high heel do you!
At the end of the day, it comes down to the bride herself on the wedding theme she has, the style of dress she wears and the type of bridal shoes she sports. The very traditional will always go for the standard, the vintage shoe will always suit the glamorous or flashy and there will always be a market for sports shoes, boots and yes, even slippers as the wedding shoes.
One thing that is guaranteed is this - the groom has not and will never have a say in these little details that matter so much to the bride! Source

Ban Munni Sheila Songs Petition Filed In Allahabad High Court
Katrina & Malaika's Item Songs
Bollywood News: A woman today filed a PIL in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today as on 23rd Dec, 2010 seeking an immediate ban on Bollywood item numbers “Munni Badnam Hui” and “Sheila Ki Jawani” alleging the songs were “against “decency and morality.
As an interim relief, the petitioner requested the court to order a halt to the release of Hindi film ‘Tees Maar Khan’ as long as the song ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’ is not removed from the film.
In her PIL, which will come up for hearing after the winter vacation, the petitioner Nutan Thakur through her counsel Ashok Pandey has sought an order to immediately stop the public exhibition of these two songs as they have a bad impact on the society.
Producers of upcoming flick ‘Tees Maar Khan’ Twinkle Khanna, Shirish Kunder and Ronnie Screwvala, its producer Farah Khan, producers of ‘Dabangg’ Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora Khan and Dhillin Mehta, its director Abhinav Kashyap, Censor Board and Union of India through the Secretary of Information and Broadcasting have been made respondents in the PIL.
The petitioner has alleged that in the movie ‘Dabangg’, which has “Munni Badnaam Hui” and ‘Tees Maar Khan’, as in almost all other Hindi films and films in other languages, many indecent, immoral and vulgar songs, dialogues and visual representations, were being disseminated to general public through the means of channels of mass media before the issue of certificate under the law of the land.
“This is completely against sections Cinematography Act 1952 because in many cases such songs, dances, scenes, dialogues do not get certificate later on but by that time they have been publicly exhibited to a very large extent,” she said.
The petitioner requested the court to direct the Censor Board and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to intervene and issue directives to the film-makers in all the languages and all other concerned bodies not to display anything (including songs, dances, dialogues, audio inputs, sequences, prommos or other such materials of the film) before the required certificate is issued to the films.
Thakur also argued that in ‘Munni Badnam Hui and ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’, there is the specific problem of use of such songs which are against decency, morality and public order and which can incite commitment of offences.
“Such unfortunate events have already started taking place where helpless and poor girls studying in schools and colleges, working women in all kinds of establishments, institutions and organizations and even housewives are being teased, molested and sarcastically treated, more so when the name of the women/girls is Sheila/ Sheela/ Munni/ Muniya and other similar sounding ones,” she said.
The petitioner also sought a court directive to stop the screening and public exhibition of ‘Dabangg’ as long as the song ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ is not deleted from the film.

Ad Campaigns And Catalogues #186
Love the first one and even the high cut version...
Below: Bold fusion of typically unappealing tracking sandals with fashion touches of exotic textures and sports details... I am not so sure about these, but the first one might work better and looked the best... my humble opinion:-)
Below: Hybrid sandals as seen on Lanvin's Spring Summer 2011 runway...
Below: Besides the runway pieces, there are also updates on Lanvin favourites, such as the signature trainers that all Lanvin fans adored... the multi coloured snake skin versions are looking really fabulous!
Lanvin Spring Summer 2011 Mens Shoes
This collection is evidence of Lanvin's evolution into the grunge and tough luxe territory. Compare it to H&M x Lanvin's design style and you immediately see the difference in style. No longer contented to live in a dandy world of refinement and gentlemen charm, Lanvin boys are ready to venture out of their cosy mansions and rough it out in the real world.
Sports vs. Couture? Yes indeed! There is a heavy sports theme in the designs shown on the runway but given a twist with highly applauded detailings. Fusing tracking sandals, sporting details (such as straps and buckles) with exotic skins and textures, the result is a refreshing take on mens footwear. Lanvin has pushed the boundaries of mens' shoe design once again, introducing a brand new way we perceive men's footwear. Some ideas work, some lesser so.
The tracking sandals may be an interesting spin from their actual sporting counterparts, I am hesitant to be wearing them in the city. Perhaps the first one may have a potential to change my mind (pair with skinny pants as seen on the runway?) ,there is still something amiss in them, they remind me too strongly of English tourists with socks:-P (Sorry my English readers!)
However when it comes to the leather shoes, the crossing inspiration worked for me. I love the fusion of sporting gear buckles and canvas straps embellishing the shoes, while a touch of exotic skin adds a dash of adventure. Truly an urban warrior's choice of footwear. The taper back of the wooden heel gives an impression of YSL's Johnny boot, but done in a much tougher way:-) The version in brown and the high cut ones just went straight to my wishlist.
Beyond the 'wow' factor of runway designs, there are other toned down versions to suit a more subdued taste. Signature Lanvin trainers are updated with multi-coloured snake skin... highly lust inducing. The boat shoes in suede and python are equally TDF. Leather lace ups have also been tapered more dramatically at the tip, given a burnished effect that makes them have a charming used appeal.
The strap sandals and full leather trainers (red and brown) are nice, but too plain for my liking.
In my opinion, this is still a wonderful collection with a good mix of favourites and refreshing ideas. Are you ready to shop Lanvin shoes next Spring Summer 2011? I know I do!
