Pixion's VFX for Tere Bin Laden makes it more hilarious
Who ever thought that a
film that has an Osama look alike would go down well with audience? But proving all else wrong Tere Bin Laden, presented by Walkwater media and produced by Pooja Shetty Deora and Aarti Shetty, with debutant director Abhishek Sharma at its helm opened at the box office to an excellent response. Where on one side industry bigwigs like Aamir Khan, Karan Johar and Salman Khan gave the film a thumbs up, it also got a great response from the critics and audience alike. Apart from the Punjabi spouting cute Osama look a like, what makes the film more than just a comedy flick and an offbeat staple Bollywood masala melange is the visual effects (VFX) executed by Mumbai-based VFX house Pixion. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Pixion VFX Head Viral Thakkar shared, "The VFX used in the film was intended to help the narrative of the film. At most of the places, the effects where invisible but complimented the gripping storyline." The work for Tere Bin Laden was divided between two facilities of Pixion, Mumbai and Chennai. "It took us around four months to complete the 150 shots with 27 artists working on them. The key people who made this project possible were Ranadheer Reddy (Compositing head - Mumbai) and Harihara Suthan (Vfx Head - Chennai)," added Viral.
