Balmain Fall Winter 2009 Men's Biker Jeans
Call me a sucker for wanting to pay overprice for a pair of jeans. It's not the first time I have done so, as evidenced in my past Dolce & Gabbana and Dsquared2 jeans addiction. I told myself not to commit the same 'mistake' again after the rapid outing of distressed denim a few years back (I have quite a few! Thankfully, it's making a small comeback for Spring Summer 2010 Menswear, so I can dust them off the hangers and 'milk' them for my money's worth again:-P) But it seems this trend of being silly is coming back for me this Fall Winter 2009:-( I am liking these Balmain Biker Jeans from the Fall Winter 2009 collection very much.
The prices of these TDF jeans are scary. Even more so than DG and D2's offerings. My only consolation...much as these were overpriced and seemingly Balmain having no shame in charging such ridiculous prices for denim, it is still very much cheaper than the ladies' version. So perhaps that my best justification to myself if I ever commit to such a purchase. Or I could always rationalise that denim lasts a lifetime and I wear them practically everyday. They get better with more washes and tears:-P
So what draws me to these pricey jeans? The ribbed detailing, which is very interesting and gorgeous skinny cut are darn good reasons. But most importantly, the most 'profoundly' silly of reasons...it's Balmain!?!?!?! And I have to have it!
Excuse me, I think I need to go 'rob' a few more banks in order to afford all these 'strangely' increasingly more expensive luxury goods lately. Recession? Huh?!??! What recession?
